# The address law **Beginner.** The one rule behind all resolution. One rule governs all resolution: > **Every spell lives at exactly one address: `(frame_key, binding_key)`** > — `frame_key` is the `spellframe` if given, else the spell's name; > `binding_key` is the `binding_name` if given, else the default slot. **Excerpt.** Define both store classes and bind them before conjuring the conduit. The lookup returns the `PostgresStore` registered as `primary`; the other binding does not change which store that address selects. ```python book.bind(spell=PostgresStore, existence="unique", binding_name="primary") book.bind(spell=SqliteStore, existence="unique", binding_name="local") primary = conduit.meld("PostgresStore", binding_name="primary") ``` ## Runnable examples - [Named bindings](../examples/beginner/04-named-bindings.md) — Beginner 04 - [Meld address forms](../examples/beginner/26-meld-address-forms.md) — Beginner 26 - [Same name different frames](../examples/beginner/22-same-name-different-frames.md) — Beginner 22 - [Same class many names](../examples/beginner/24-same-class-many-names.md) — Beginner 24 [All beginner examples](../examples/beginner/index.md) · [Level contents](index.md) · [Full contents](../contents.md) [Canonical page source](https://github.com/Synaptic724/melder/blob/0895ce795453cd87e35d70665957b4e89aad3317/README.md)
